Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin is a force to be reckoned with, yet he remains one of the most underappreciated players in the league. With three consecutive 1,000+ yard seasons under his belt, despite playing with a revolving door of quarterbacks, NFL.com has listed 'Scary Terry' as a potential Commanders MVP candidate for next season.

McLaurin's success is all the more impressive when you consider the caliber of quarterbacks he's been playing with. It's like vintage Allen Robinson, where McLaurin's production is all the more amazing when you consider the number -- and caliber -- of quarterbacks delivering him the football. However, McLaurin has consistently made plays, regardless of who is throwing him the ball.

The upcoming season is no exception. With Washington taking a risk with second-year quarterback Sam Howell, the offense led by Eric Bieniemy could be up and down. But not McLaurin. He is establishing himself as an elite Pro Bowl receiver, with no less than 70 receptions, 1,000+ yards, and four touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.

While McLaurin might not receive the plaudits of some of the more well-known receivers in the game, Washington benefits from his consistent and reliable play. The Howell connection will need to be on point from day one, but from all accounts, the second-year quarterback is off to a good start. Of course, having a star receiver like McLaurin will only make his job easier.

So, while fans may be hard-pressed to find a more underappreciated player, Terry McLaurin's talent speaks for itself. He is a potential team MVP candidate and a crucial part of Washington's success.
